WALK A MILE IN MY SHOES
TO HELP THE HOMELESS
Each Outreach is teaming up with Resurrection World Outreach and inviting
people from all over the world to join in The “Walk a Mile in My Shoes” event, a month-long fundraising walk to raise awareness about the trauma of living on the street and to raise funds to end homelessness.
Send Me, I'll Go
On June 12th, 2021, a mission trip was organized with the goal in mind to aid Christ for the City in ministering to impoverished groups in Costa Rica. Much like the US, there were victims of homelessness and impoverished neighborhoods. However, without the resources available to aid in feeding and clothing the homeless. They were without shelters, soup kitchens, government aid and shoes. A different level of helplessness is experienced globally, which has inspired Each Outreach to bring attention and aid to the families and impoverished people globally.
Across the world, around 300 million people cannot afford shoes. Shoes are an integral part of a person’s daily life, and provide comfort, protection from the environment, dignity, employment, confidence and improved quality of life for someone who is homeless and in need. In addition, going barefoot presents several hazards, from burns and injury to catching an illness or fungus. Any one of these dangers could negatively impact someone by keeping them sick at home or in a hospital. The importance of shoes in the homeless population cannot be overstated. It is our mission and vision to help these individuals by providing a quality pair of shoes.
